Kalamaki

The sandy beach of Kalamaki is just 5 km from the city of Chania and is approximately 600m. It has been awarded a Blue Flag and is one of the most beautiful and picturesque beaches of Chania. The shallow waters of the beach make it an ideal beach for families with young children. It is well organized, offering guests food, drink and facilities for swimming (umbrellas, water sports, etc.). At the western end of the beach is formed a small cove, which is separated from the central beach with a narrow strip of sand.

Kalamaki beach is one of the beaches where, the endagered turtles Caretta Caretta lay their eggs.

In the area of Kalamaki, you will find a variety of holiday villas, most of them close to the beach. All of them are suitable for family holidays, as they offer many amenities close, as well as other tourist resorts in close distance.

Access: The beach is located West of Chania, after Agioi Apostoloi beach and before Kato Stalos.You may access the beach by taking the bus to and from the city of Chania. Also, you may take a taxi ir a rental car.
